Brooklyn Does Missionary Week

For Activity Days I put together a missionary week for the girls. Brooklyn is one of my girls so she got to participate! They needed to avoid screen time, read their scriptures and say their prayers. I left it up to them and their parents how they wanted to do that an what they felt was best.

Sunday- Ask someone about their mission
Monday- Help plan an FHE lesson
Tuesday- Try something new (she tried a fun fruit we'd never heard of and learned some words in Spanish)
Wednesday- Pay special attention to someone lonely at school
Thursday- Family History
Friday- Listen to or read a conference talk
Saturday- Write down your testimony
Sunday- Share your testimony (this wasn't required to complete the challenge but they got an extra prize if they did it. Almost every single girl did it!!)

Daddy Daughter Dance

Had to document these two before their Daddy Daughter dance at the church! It was so cute and they had a lot of fun. Brooklyn spent hours getting ready!

Brooklyn's Dog, Jack

We rescued Jack in 2013 when we were living in Portland. He was a pure bread beagle and so sweet and loving with the kids. He slowly became Brooklyn's dog and he almost always slept with her. He ended up getting too sick to carry on so we had to put him to sleep and Brooklyn made the decision to be there with him for it.

It was really hard on her and she still struggles with it. She bore her testimony a few days later in sacrament sharing that she knows she will see him again.
